We are always looking for new members!
Bradley Gardens Rescue Squad covers Bridgewater Township in its West area. We answer an average of 450 calls per year. We currently have 3 ambulances, an extrication truck, a boat, a trailer for the rehabilitation of firefighters, and 2 first response vehicles.
Members volunteer with us a minimum of 1 night per week from 6 p.m.-6a.m. The night of the week stays the same each week so you can plan for it and you will have a pager that will alert you to a call so you can stay at home while on duty.
Members also volunteer 1 weekend every 5 weeks from 6 a.m. on a Saturday until 6 a.m. on a Monday. During this weekend, members meet on Saturday morning to inventory and clean our rigs/building as needed.
*Minors can only ride until 10 p.m. on any given shift.
Our members also help answer emergency calls on 2 holidays each year. We rotate the holidays each year so that it is fair to everyone.
There is a monthly meeting/training the second Sunday of each month and members are expected to attend. Additional trainings may be called as needed, but we try to keep it to just once per month.
Every member must be trained in CPR which we do for free at our building. Members can also be trained as an EMT for free through state funding, but we don’t require this.
